All that goes to show is that even medical professionals can be duped by cold reading and that they're perhaps not as sceptical as they imagine.

The length of Pickles neck would suggest he’s been hanged in a previous life, probably in the U.K. which would explain his bitterness towards us!

Re: Past life regression
There's an American psychiatrist called Brian Weiss who's written a lot about this. He has some interesting stories to tell. If it's true, it knocks a whole lot of our preconceptions on the head. It's not exactly what most of us were taught to believe.

I've got an open mind about it. The thought of having been a right bastard in previous lives (yes, yes, as well as in this one) is not a happy one.

'Many Lives, Many Masters' is his best-known book. This is from his website, www.brianweiss.com:

"As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from “the space between lives,” which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss’s family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career.

A graduate of Columbia University and Yale Medical School, Brian L. Weiss M.D. is Chairman Emeritus of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami."

Re: Past life regression
What if you were a gnat in your past life, rather than Napoleon or Alexander the Great or something glamorous like that?

Can people be gnats or leeches in their past life, or are they only ever humans?

Do gnats and leeches have past lives? It’d be a bit of depressing if you had unlimited lives and yet all of them were gnats.

Charlie Brooker did a good take down of this sort of nonsense.

I think I might have had a past life once.

But it was sometime in the future.

Apologies if I haven't quite mastered the level of bullshit necessary to properly contribute to this thread

Comma is on to the version of this I firmly believe in. Past lives in the poetic sense. eg. the Lily who was young and not a parent is dead and gone forever, a past life that I remember and learn from. Me before I could walk, me before puberty, me before Gerard’s fucking equaliser, all dead and gone. It feels like I die and am reborn every six or seven years or so.

Fucking jammy scouse cunt!

I dreamt I had committed a murder, and I'm damn sure I haven't committed any in this life.

Therefore...

Hellinger's Family Constellations - what happens if a Catholic priest goes native Zulu.

Anyway, the inquirer just stands there in a room and the facilitator calls actors to play the parents, life partners, grandparents and other relatives. These arrange themselves in the space without any further verbal information passing between anyone.

In the session I witnessed, a rather straight-laced English lady playing the mother ended up hiding under a chair in the middle of the room while the total strangers playing father's grandparent's mourned the loss of a first-born. It was mental.

You did. I knew you then. You tasked me with going to the future and coming on this site to tell you to not investigate your past life - you are a millwall supporter and very angry.
